Eastwood Sidejack Mosrite ripoff with P-90s
I won this guitar in a contest for desgning their logo. These designs are basically import knockoffs of varying quality...the worst of which are made in China, the best of which are Japanese, and the middle tier from Korea. Eastwood specializes in resurrecting the kitschy guitar designs of yesteryear at affordable prices.

My Sidejack came to me with some small problems and two massive one. It's one of the Chinese ones. On the small side, there are a variety of cosmetic issues. Various paint drips, some ungodly routering work (the elbow pocket on the upper front is totally ripply) etc. On the big side there was a huge hump in the rosewood fretboard that a truss rod adjustment could not fix, and most amazingly of all the post holes for the bridge were actually drilled in the wrong place—resulting in two different scale lengths and making intonation impossible.

I had a luthier file down my frets to counter-act the fretboard hump. The post holes I filled in with dowels and then I re-drilled in the correct place. I also added an Earvana nut. Now the thing plays great and the stock pickups are actually quite nice. I also replaced the stock pickguard and truss rod cover with a new beige mother-of-toilet seat one I cut myself because I'm a big fag for M-O-T.
